The War Begins...

Today marks the first Sunday in which I am following an organized schedule.

This is THE CORE NATURE of how discipline and consistency works.

Even if you try to disprove it and show a massive size person just "winging it", you'll notice that he's actually following an unscripted, unofficial, yet very disciplined and consistent schedule.

Like dumping energy into separating gluons and muons and they just form a new pair, or the more energy you dump into acceleration the more mass you gain as you approach the speed of light... the more "large size" behavior you dump into a being, the more organized, consistent, and disciplined they become.

So now that you are following the fundamental law of nature for how to be an entrepreneur -- like Brendan's realtor friend, he MUST follow a set schedule -- the war has officially began.

The ROARS vs. LEAF war of the entrepreneur.

I play both sides.  I win either way.  But there's a big win I'm after here.

Here's the battles:
-Who gets more of my time?
-Who gets more of my willpower and energy?
-Who progresses faster?
-ETC

Over time, as ROARS starts making money and proving itself, it'll make more and more progress down the battle field.  The war only ends when one side has been completely eliminated by the other.

Sunday REQUIRED Structure

The following is required to get 100% or "R" status integrity for Sunday CDH.

If you do not follow the below, the most integrity you can achieve is 50% (regardless of what you work on.  LEAF work, for instance, instead of ROARS, doesn't need to follow the below since you get 50% either way.)

Sunday Structure

  1. Morning Ritual as normal 7:30-8:30 -- but take Adderall AS SOON AS YOU WAKE UP.

  2. 8:30-9:00 Powerhour in garage.  Latest you can begin meditation is 9:15 to show up to work @ 9:30.  Any time after 9:30 you are late.  (like 6:30am LEAF goal vs. deadline @ 7:00)

    • If you are late by 5 minutes or more, you automatically get HALF integrity for Sunday CDH.

  3. Clock in by writing a post @ 9:00-9:30.  Same as LEAF "working on deals 630-7" structure - If you start late hussle up so you can get to the real work.  Roughly, quickly, and effectively outline your goals for the day and any structure you'd like to define.  In the future, we'll get better at being more organized in this area, but for now anything is better than nothing.

  4. Begin work -- and that's it!  I trust myself to take it from there.

Q3 PTC Day 19

Stop blaming and justifying.

I keep wanting to say this week has gone bad because

  • miles was @ LEAF 3 days
  • im being judged on my performance and they can suck my dick
  • month end
...on and on it goes.

IF YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR LARGEST SIZE WITH ZERO HOURS OF SLEEP, THEN YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU SET YOUR MIND TO.

THIS WEEK HAS GONE OFF THE RAILS BECAUSE YOU LET THAT HAPPEN.

You could have done whatever it took to take control of your mind, but instead you let it justify the pain away.

You let it shreak away from discomfort, pain.  You harbored the comfort zone.  You let yourself fall asleep at the wheel.

It's OKAY to fail!  I am confident in your abilities and the acceleration of your progress in 2016.  However the wheel will stop rolling and you'll lose it all if you let yourself believe that there's any good reasons at all that can justify your failures.

If you can do your best with no sleep -- literally, the most insane pain, weakness, loss of ability to focus, etc -- then you can do anything!!!  THINK ABOUT IT.

WHAT THAT MEANS IS, YOUR MENTALITY OF "omg these thoughts are non-stop, there's no WAY I can control them!!" IS TOTALLY, COMPLETELY, 100% WRONG.

The only reasons you can't take control are in front of you if you'd care to get smart about them:
  • You can't take control because you believe you can't.
  • You can't take control because you're looking at it as an overwhelming task -- stop reacting, see passed the 1%, and think proactive instead of reactive, like "a 6 would start with what he CAN do and 1-up from there"
  • You can't take control because you're in panic mode; your head is spinning.  COME OFF IT. Then, from a fresh slate, ask: "how would one take TOTAL control from the point where I am currently at?"
  • You can't take control because instead of embracing that thought, laughing at it, and WANTING THE CHALLENGE, it was easier just to say "I can't do it" and accept that you failed.
You're not lost in some web.  You're not "in too deep".  You're not incapable.  If anything, you've PROVEN the opposite.

You know what to do.  Right now, failures are stacked, hard.  That cannot be allowed to continue.  One troll at a time, take them all down.  Take baby steps and untangle that web of lies misleading you down all the wrong paths.  There is only one way to win.  Start putting all these sabotaging thoughts into the garbage bin, and for god's sake, take out the fucking trash.  And have fun doing it... that's the key.

Q3 PTC Day 18

5p - 6:15p

A little talk has been said about the way you are running your shire.

Mental Mastery is about being aware continuously.  It is about stepping in whenever necessary.  It is about neural pathway progress being at the forefront of my desires.

It shouldn't be hard -- it's very easy to hear your thoughts.  If you're trying too hard, you're doing it wrong.  Do it smarter.  Do it more often.  Master your mind.

So, on to recording!

Q3 PTC Day 17

4:45p - 7:00p

First up, review of sound checks

Sound Check Review:

Close, NO Additional dampener
The 6"-10" distance range, speaking lower and into the mic, sounds exceptionally good.

Close w/ Background dampener
May sound SLIGHTLY better than the one without the additional dampener, but hard to tell, more apparently if you get loud.

Far, NO Additional dampener
The 2' - 3' distance range, speaking louder, sounds like shit

Far, w/ Background dampener
Notably better than without the dampener, but still sounds like shit.

I was surprised how much better being close is.  Even if you can't express as much, the little variations in tone convey MORE WEIGHT than the larger variations when expressing more fully from a distance.  It's almost like it's more personal, more real, more powerful.  And the kicker is, it takes less effort.  It's like the try too hard syndrome struck again - just go up close and take it easy :).

Since there was virtually no difference with the background dampening, the good news here is I don't need to do that!

I still need to test laptop sound vs. computer sound to see how much a difference the computer makes.  Just start tmw by testing right off the computer and line that up with the laptop recordings from Monday.

...
Next, I tested the Blue Yeti, curosty of Dave.

Various differences, playing with gain, pc vs. laptop, etc... all the same... it sounded pretty bad!

The lows just aren't there at all with the yeti.  The result is that while it may sound slightly crisper, it carries no weight.  Since the quality of my voice is in the lows, the yeti couldn't capture that quality and I sounded very flat.

...

Other tips with recording:

-As far as getting the sound just right with the mini sound studio, you'll need to pick the right distance between 6"-12" from the microphone (it seems 8-10" is the sweet spot) and test it vs. how loud you are.  Both factors affect each other.  It should be loud enough to feel like it's ideally expressive, but quiet enough so it's not even close to bouncing off the walls, which is the biggest killer of quality when you don't have a sound room.

-ALWAYS NOTE WHAT VOLUME LEVEL THE MICROPHONE IS SET TO WHEN TESTING!!  It makes a huge difference, it's the same as "gain" dial on the mic, too much and it's all plosions.
--->WINNER = 85% volume on AT2020 (laptop)

Q3 PTC Day 16

5:30p - 7:00p.  Perfect.

Need to get the sound right.  The problem is, I want fully express myself, but in doing so I echo around the room.  Just gonna need to do it into the mic... and that means sound checks.

4 Sound checks done.

I feel like I need to be up close and quietier, but I need to do it in a way where there's more excitement.  play with this tmw.
