CDN -- content delivery network -- A CDN will drastically reduce server lag by storing static resources on a network of fast loading servers.  Basically it's a network of servers that delievers content faster.  So with wordpress, basic hosting is set up, then all files are accessed from the Amazon S3 "CDN" ideally.

EBS -- Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) provides block level storage volumes for use with EC2 instances. EBS volumes are highly available and reliable storage volumes that can be attached to any running instance that is in the same Availability Zone.

RDS -- Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) is a web service that makes it easier to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud. It provides cost-efficient, resizeable capacity for an industry-standard relational database and manages common database administration tasks.

SDK -- A software developer's kit (SDK) is a set of programs used by a computer programmer to write application programs. Typically, an SDKincludes a visual screen builder, an editor, a compiler, a linker, and sometimes other facilities.
